Michael Black represents business entities in the form of corporations, partnerships, and individuals, ranging from individuals doing business under assumed names, to the representation of Delaware corporations having several hundred million dollars in annual sales. Such representation includes counseling with clients beginning with the formation of a business entity, assisting business entities through the difficult time of growth and competition for market share, as well as legal services offered to business entities as general counsel, and the formation of other related entities. Additional services have been provided to clients in the areas of family limited partnerships.
Education Law - Few areas of the law have expanded as quickly in recent years as education law. Students and their parents have been provided with important and significant remedies in the form of state and federal statutes and regulations intended to implement educational opportunities for students in public schools. When representing students and their parents, our goals are to achieve the most extensive educational opportunities available for the student, and, the continuing confidence of our clients that every possibility for achieving that success has been considered and evaluated.
Real Property - The Law Office of C. Michael Black has represented clients in the area of the acquisition and development, as well as disposition of real estate, whether in the form of individuals purchasing their first home, or corporations and businesses in any of the various phases of the development, financing, construction, and leasing of commercial real estate developments, and the formation of the entities owning such large developments. Previous real property experience also includes the representation of a nationwide title company in defense of its policy holders against claims affecting their title and ownership of the property.
Commercial Litigation - The Law Office of C. Michael Black represents clients in a variety of litigation at both the state and federal level, such litigation experience including 37 years of practice before the courts of the State of Texas, Harris County, and the United States, including disputes involving the litigation of general contract, commercial, and business matters, real property law, and the prosecution of civil and securities fraud. Mr. Black's experience also includes representation of clients including home builders as well as home owners, insurance companies, as well as insurance policy holders, individuals, partnerships, and corporations, both large and small.
